Sponsor a Student
Help Shape the Future of a Young Artist
The OCCTAC Sponsor a Student Program provides an opportunity for donors and community members to directly support the educational and artistic growth of a student in need. By sponsoring a student, individuals and organizations can help fund arts, education, and creative therapy services for students who otherwise may not have access to these programs.

Student Highlights
Cesar Galvan
At six years old, Cesar Galvan joined OCCTAC and quickly discovered a love for music after passing by a violin lesson. Born a congenital amputee missing his lower left arm, Cesar embraced both piano and violin, despite challenges balancing school and music.
In high school, he considered quitting but ultimately chose to persevere, finding joy in his performances and the support of those around him. A recent standout moment at a UC San Diego retreat reaffirmed his passion when his “angelic” performance received a standing ovation.
Now, as a Political Science major at UC San Diego, Cesar hopes to continue music by joining an orchestra or band. His journey embodies the transformative impact of the arts, and OCCTAC is honored to be part of his story.
All donations will go directly to the 'Sponsoring a Student' fund.

Roberto Reyes
Meet Roberto Reyes, an 18-year-old freshman at Cal State Fullerton, who has been part of OCCTAC for 17 years. Diagnosed with autism at a young age, Roberto has faced challenges with resilience and dedication. His journey at OCCTAC began when his family sought support, and through music therapy, Roberto discovered his passion for music.
Over the years, Roberto has excelled in OCCTAC’s Preparatory Arts Music Academy, mastering piano and viola while also pursuing composition. He has participated in the prestigious MTAC’s Certificate of Merit Program, passing every exam and even publishing his first piano sonata. Today, Roberto is exploring both composition and education, with aspirations to become a teacher in both math and music.
