OCCTAC Founder Dr. Ana Jimenez-Hami Featured Among Top Latina Entrepreneurs in Orange County

Santa Ana, CA – April 16, 2025 – The Orange County Children’s Therapeutic Arts Center (OCCTAC) is proud to announce that its Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Ana Jimenez-Hami, has been featured in the April edition of Empresarias Latinas que Dejan Huella — a special publication honoring eight influential Latina entrepreneurs in Orange County.

Titled “Latina Entrepreneurs Leaving Their Mark”, the article recognizes these visionary leaders for their unwavering commitment to community, their spirit of resilience, and their drive to uplift future generations. Dr. Ana is celebrated for her lifelong dedication to education, the arts, and mental wellness, as well as her remarkable journey from academia to nonprofit leadership.

“This year, OCCTAC celebrates 25 years—an achievement I’m incredibly proud of,” Dr. Ana shared. “The turning point in my career was leaving academia and a full-time position at Loyola University to found this nonprofit after the tragic loss of my parents. I wanted to honor their memory by bringing joy, empowerment, and transformation to underserved communities.”

As the driving force behind OCCTAC, Dr. Ana has led the organization in serving more than 6,000 children, youth, and families annually across a variety of arts, education, and therapeutic programs. Her story exemplifies the heart of this tribute—where passion meets purpose, and leadership inspires lasting change.
