OCCTAC Selected as Honoree for 2025 Helena Modjeska Cultural Legacy Award by Arts Orange County

Santa Ana, CA – April 18, 2025 – Santa Ana, CA — The Orange County Children’s Therapeutic Arts Center (OCCTAC) is proud to announce its selection as a 2025 recipient of the Helena Modjeska Cultural Legacy Award, presented by Arts Orange County at the 25th Annual Orange County Arts Awards.

The prestigious awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the Samueli Theater at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, recognizing individuals and organizations who have made lasting contributions to the arts in Orange County.

OCCTAC is being honored with the Outstanding Arts Organization Award, recognizing 25 years of service as a beacon of hope and empowerment in the community. Under the visionary leadership of founder Dr. Ana Jimenez-Hami, OCCTAC has provided inclusive access to arts-integrated education and creative therapies for children and families facing physical, cognitive, language, social, and emotional challenges. With a deeply committed bilingual and bicultural staff, OCCTAC ensures that every child—regardless of ability or background—can participate in the arts and thrive.

The Helena Modjeska Cultural Legacy Award is named after the internationally renowned 19th-century actress who made Orange County her home and celebrates individuals and organizations that exemplify her spirit of cultural enrichment.

This award is a testament to OCCTAC’s unwavering mission to provide innovative, accessible, and culturally relevant arts education and therapeutic services to underserved communities across Orange County.
