Historic Win for OCCTAC Students at 2025 MTAC Composers Today Competition

OCCTAC is proud to announce that three students from its Preparatory Arts Academy of Music placed in the 2025 MTAC Composers Today State Contest. Jesus Reyes won 1st Place, Cesar Galvan took 3rd Place, and Jessie Leon received Honorable Mention.


This marks OCCTAC’s first time placing, celebrating the talent of neurodiverse, Latino, and Romanian composers. Winners will perform their original works at the MTAC Convention on July 6.

2025 Helena Modjeska Cultural Legacy Award

OCCTAC is honored to receive the 2025 Helena Modjeska Cultural Legacy Award from Arts Orange County, recognizing 25 years of impact through arts education and therapy.

The award will be presented at the Orange County Arts Awards on September 16 at the Segerstrom Center. We’re grateful for this recognition and for our community’s continued support!






Dr. Ana Jimenez-Hami Recognized as Top Latina Entrepreneur

We’re thrilled to share that OCCTAC Founder and Executive Director Dr. Ana Jimenez-Hami was featured in Empresarias Latinas que Dejan Huella, honoring eight Latina leaders in Orange County. 

The article celebrates Dr. Ana’s inspiring journey from academia to nonprofit leadership and her 25 years of impact through OCCTAC. Her dedication to education, the arts, and mental wellness continues to uplift over 6,000 children and families annually.

Join us for Encanto: A Multidisciplinary Arts Production, where students will explore music, dance, and art by bringing Disney’s Encanto to life. From learning songs to creating props and sets, students will showcase their talent in a family presentation at the end.
