SAUSD Engage360 Arts

In collaboration with the Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) Extended Learning Programs, OCCTAC proudly presents the SAUSD Arts Program. Designed to enrich the lives of elementary and middle school students within the district, this program brings the world of arts to more than 5,000 students throughout the school year.

A World of Creativity Unleashed

Our After School Arts enrichment programs are a gateway to exploration, creativity, and self-expression. As part of SAUSD's "Engage 360" Extended Learning Program, students are immersed in the realm of Visual Arts and Theatre, gaining new perspectives and honing their artistic skills.

Fusing Education with Community Resources
The SAUSD Arts Program harmonizes school reform strategies with community support, providing a safe and constructive environment for student development. This initiative aligns with local efforts to enhance student assistance and cultivate a broader network of education advocates. By offering locally driven after-school education and enrichment, we contribute to the goal of supporting Extended Learning Opportunities for Low-Income Pupils, a testament to our commitment to educational equity.

Empowering Through Partnership
On July 28, 2015, the Santa Ana Unified School District Board of Trustees forged a new contract with OC Children’s Therapeutic Arts Center, ushering in an exciting era of afterschool enrichment services. This grant empowers both Elementary and Middle School students with Visual Arts instruction, elevating their creative journeys during after-school hours within the Santa Ana Unified School District.

Nurturing Curiosity and Creativity
At OCCTAC, we believe that education encompasses more than textbooks—it's about embracing artistic expression. Our curriculum focuses on teaching fundamental art elements such as line, color, shape, form, rhythm, balance, texture, and pattern. Students are exposed to a variety of mediums and techniques, fostering a well-rounded understanding of art's many dimensions.

Celebrating Achievements, Fostering Confidence
As the program sessions conclude, we showcase our young artists' achievements through an inspiring art exhibit. Families and faculty come together to celebrate their accomplishments, reinforcing self-esteem and empowerment. This moment of recognition is a reminder of the value of respect, commitment, and collaboration.

Elevate Minds, Ignite Creativity
"Inspiration exists, but it has to find us working," once said the renowned artist Pablo Picasso. Through the SAUSD Arts Program, we embrace this philosophy, providing a space for inspiration to flourish and young minds to thrive.
